I ordered this laptop to run Ubuntu Linux. It works very well. Every piece of hardware works automatically, without any configuration. Play Video is uniformly in both VLC and Flash in the browser, and the sound is fantastic. Suspend / resume is a dream to work with, and 2 GB of memory is sufficient.

I was happy to use this laptop, and I commend all those who want something on the border between laptops and netbooks.

I had a similar problem with one of the other reviews here. HP does not use my laptop because of "customer-related injuries, as was clearly no. There's a reason they are dead last in all surveys of customer service. God forbid, if you really need services. Among the negotiation with the people in India who speak English more difficult, and zero warranty service, take your money elsewhere. HP is the worst service experience I ever had.
